8 Gorgeous Entrance Foyer Ideas

Your foyer is the first, and last, room that your guests will see and it sets the tone for the rest of your home. Whether your foyer is of a grand or modest scale, make sure it creates the impression you want to convey. Your foyer should reflect your home's overall style and personality, while serving as a functional entry space. Need some inspiration as you plan for your remodel or new custom home? Here are 8 gorgeous entrance foyer ideas that we have created for our clients.

1. Traditional

This traditional foyer features an arched entryway with a black and white marble tile floor and a convenient coat closet. Step up and you see a beautiful staircase that is awash in natural light from the window above.

2. Contemporary

The entryway of this contemporary home has a soaring staircase with glass panels and natural colored hardwood flooring. This pleasing, sunlit space sets the perfect tone when guests arrive.

3. Transitional

A dramatic staircase with hardwood railings creates impact in this transitional style foyer. The entryway is flooded with natural light from the oversized windows that grace the stairwell.

4. Craftsman

This custom wood door with textured glass and sidelights is impressive from the inside and outside. Wainscoting, glass pocket doors and a custom rug complete the welcoming look in the foyer of this craftsman style home. This home was designed so that the staircase is past the foyer and not the focal point of the entryway.

5. Western

A stacked stone wall and dark, arched beams greet guests as they enter this beautiful, Western-style foyer. The staircase is tucked away so that a baby-grand piano and octagonal table are the visually impactful focal point.

6. Long and Narrow

A custom wood door with a circular window creates a lovely focal point at the end of this long and narrow foyer that is defined by a series of archways and pillars. A curio cabinet filled with collectibles adds a dash of personality to the space.

7. Open Plan

This expansive foyer is in keeping with the very open design of this home. A stunning, wide staircase with wainscoting sits to the right of the front door.

8. Gallery Style

This gallery style entryway guides guests past custom iron railings, a sweeping staircase and the owner's art collection. Hardwood flooring in a herringbone pattern creates visual interest in the long hallway.
